Our Story

The OR as a Playground

Anesthesia is one of the hardest specialties to get meaningful exposure to as a student. We identified a gap in early anesthesia education, from which Anesthesia Playground was born: an open, interactive OR that any medical student anywhere can walk into.

The Vision

Dr. Szabo imagined an explorable operating room, as immersive as J.K. Rowling's early interactive websites. What if learning anesthesia felt like stepping into a world?

The Curriculum

Dr. Guzzi built a structured 30-day anesthesia education program designed to orient medical students on rotation, giving them clinical footing to contribute, not just observe.

Dr. Kurup has spent years at the frontier of digital medical education, collaborating with institutions across the U.S. and Vietnam to bring simulation and technology into how physicians learn.
